Opening up the spaces between the large Kitchen and FR made all the difference in how this Old Greenwich home looks, feel and LIVES! Creative space planning by Jennifer Howard and the JWH Team, allowed this client to "see" the after before we ever began the renovation.

The X-mullion doors and open shelf over the windows help to absorb the space above. Treasures from travels soon to find a home on that inviting shelf!

Filling a large room, while maintaining function can be a challenge. The breakfast area with concealed microwave and refrigerator drawers solve this problem at the far end of the room.

The existing large room was inefficient. Guests entered directly into the work zone. The client hated the professional cooktop on the Island (and it had no ventilation!.)

Burying the small window (which can now be seen from the exterior only) allowed the critical range placement with proper ventilation. As you will see from the "after" photos, there is no loss of light.

Removing this center wall, and relocating the appliances created an open connection between rooms and better functional space on the kitchen side.

A dark hallway to the mudroom took critical space out of the family room. The kids' bath (second powder room) allowed a more attractive and functional Wet Bar to the larger room.
