An old farmhouse was opened up by removing a wall in the kitchen to create an open floor plan. We used some old furniture with new, existing cabinets were painted and updated and new were added to match. Bringing in exposed beams solved the engineering problem while adding a wood feature that melded well with the new dark butcher block island countertop.
