This home was designed and built by a student of Frank Lloyd Wright. The extremely open concept lead to numerous challenges in the design phase of this remodel. The space was widened by approximately 3'-0" by claiming some floor space from the walkway between the family room and dining area. Custom cherry cabinetry, granite countertops and tumbled Travertine tile backsplash with glass accents were installed. Red birch flooring was installed in the kitchen, dining area and foyer. A monorail lighting system was installed to allow for more appropriate lighting for the space including xenon under cabinet lights for task lighting.
