This home originally included dark blue carpets, dim lighting, yellowish stained wood trim, and gold-coloured light fixtures and door hardware. In order to bring light into this space, and reflect the coastal surroundings, a colour palette of white, blue, and white-washed wood was chosen.

Updating the dark floor-to-ceiling brick fireplaces in this home had one of the most dramatic influences on the space. The natural brick colour left this home feeling dark and gloomy. Painting the brick white was a bold choice that completely transformed this space to the light, airy oceanfront home it is now.
