The Morley Residence is situated on a gently sloping site bordering a meandering stream. The L-shaped plan has 3 levels that step with the contours of the land. Stepped, opaque planes allow light to filter into the building while providing privacy from the motor court, entrance and street. On the side facing the creek, expanses of glass articulated by folding planes of wood provide access and views to a private terrace, swimming pool and the creek beyond.
