The owners, a young couple from Israel with four children, brought to this project a passion for architecture, a wealth of ideas collected over many years of contemplating their dream house and a desire to create an artistic family home with unique materials and details. The result, a true collaboration between client and architect, is a lively composition of dynamic spaces, rich materials and intricate detailing.

The planning for this 6,000 square foot house started with the concept of dividing the building program into two major wings one for shared spaced and adults, and the other for children and guests. A dramatic entrance gallery, opaque to provide privacy to the street contrasts with a two-story glass curtain wall to the garden, links the two wings and contains the principal horizontal and vertical circulation for the house.
