This great couple needed some help with their kitchen. They had to do some bathroom work previously and had no ceiling in their kitchen! Their cabinets were dated and the whole space needed updating. They have 4 large dogs and also needed a space to accommodate them. Out with the dated cabinets, the tile floor that was ready to go, the sink that was in an awkward location, and the range/fridge awkward locations too! We installed gorgeous dark Oak cabinets and a heated vinyl plank floor. Both of these were chosen specifically to withstand the 4 large dogs! Especially the heat (see the last photo

AFTER - the flow of this space is so much better. By removing the "L" where the sink was, it completely opens up the space. The homeowners can do the dishes, open the dishwasher and the stove all at the same time if they want!

BEFORE - the dated european cabinets, awkward sink placement and general design had to go.

AFTER - lots of drawers and a small pantry to the right of the fridge gives much needed storage. There is a stack in the corner beside of the fridge that we hid with a shallow pantry.

BEFORE - there was no storage along this wall at all. Not to mention, no ceiling in the kitchen!

AFTER - moving the sink to the window area completely changed the flow of the kitchen. There is also a large garbage pullout on one side of the sink and a large recycling pullout on the other side. We also custom made window and door mouldings to match the rest of the house.

BEFORE - The narrow cabinets and countertops didn't provide much functionality. And you can see the mouldings were painted and didn't match the other wood.

AFTER - the raised island. As I mentioned, it's 6" higher than the rest of the kitchen so the dogs can't counter surf! On the left, we tied in the radiator and the small desk with matching wood and granite.

AFTER - the radiator cover looks gorgeous and matches completely. The homeowner has access from the front so the radiator can be bled when needed. And the granite on top will withstand the dogs putting their paws on it and looking out the window.

BEFORE - the rad was slightly off centre from the window as well so we built the box to look like it was centred. Much more eye pleasing.

AFTER - the granite is gorgeous. Pompei is the name of this granite.
