The graduating senior class of Lycée Francais de New York, offered an installation of a garden as a ‘green’ gift to their school. Located on the sixth floor terrace, the completed project features over 1000 SF of planted-in-place native meadow, a scientific work lab, and a student lounge with a series of custom-designed ipé benches. The site is broken into a hierarchy of spaces, arranged according to the structural grid of the building, and programmed to based on the adjacent interior functions.
