The wrap-around New York terrace was designed to provide a variety of open spaces to accommodate different social settings. Installing a bamboo shoot screen around the perimeter of the terrace creates an intimate environment, while evergreen trees and hedges, laced with blooming vines and perennials, add to the aesthetic. Selected sculptures were also introduced to the design as a way of engaging visitors and establishing a unique cultural dynamic.
