This young family of five, like many residents in Manhattan Beach, live in their dream home. Unfortunately, their backyard was a nightmare. It was dark, damp, overgrown and harkened to an era of oversized wicker furniture and cheap, flaky stone. Still, they had aspirations of creating an inviting and attractive outdoor living space - a private family retreat. So they hired Laney LA and Jones Landscapes to transform their space into something special. The goal was to enhance the lifestyle of the family. An adult bbq and fire pit area was created for cozy conversation that transitioned to an open play area with athletic grade turf dense enough to bounce a basketball.
