Maple Leaf Deck Transformation
The goal of the project was to replace a twenty year old-deck. The previous deck was sprawling—it wrapped the northeast corner of the 1928 craftsman home and had stairs that cascaded down to the yard.
The new design decreased the footprint of the deck, replaced the stairs with a defined edge, and added a pergola with a translucent roof to provide protection from the rain. The pergola roof slopes back to an existing gutter while the structure slips underneath the existing eave.
