JGT was commissioned by the Town of McClellanville, South Carolina to permit, design and observe construction of a new timber fishing and observation pier located adjacent to the Town's boat ramp in the historic Old Village. The project involves the construction of an approximately 6' x 60' fixed pier leading to a 12' x 16' covered fixed pier head. In addition, an existing 190 foot timber bulkhead will be replaced as required with rip rap protection added at the base of the wall. In addition to planning, permitting, designing, bidding and conducting construction observation, JGT assisted the Town with securing a $50,000 grant from the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources.
