This tract home in University City had received additions on all sides of the original structure over the years. A cohesive design was needed that addressed the leaking flat roofs and the bland look, while taking advantage of the canyon views from three sides of the house on this peninsula lot. A unifying sloped roof and multiple large corner windows around the house were used to address these issues, giving it an updated contemporary look. The whole house remodel included a large kitchen that anchors an open plan concept. The family room opens up to the backyard with a 24' wide aluminum sliding glass door.
