Situated at the edge of a steep hillside in La Jolla, the project entailed reinforcing the slope with a new retaining wall off of which are built a deck with an enclosed workroom below. The main house receives an overall updated design look with an expansion of the living room on the first floor, the home office over the garage, and the master bath at the rear. A new larger kitchen opens to the family room and the rear patio and pool through a wall of glass.
