Many Houses are clustered around land in the residential area. For this site, it is a slightly larger piece of land facing south.

All rooms are designed facing south. Thus, it stretches in an east-west direction.

For the large south-facing windows, Japanese-style louvers were installed to provide the owner’s privacy while at the same time letting light and wind through.

Also, the bathroom on the second floor serves as an open balcony towards the outside, where vertical Japanese traditional louvers are installed up to the roof. In this way, the user can feel free to enjoy the outdoor space.

The living room is located in the center of the building on the first floor, with a large open space above. Other rooms are designed at the two sides of the living room and the space. To respect privacy, there are small windows in the living room, while the light cascades down from the sky through the central open space.

The central space reveals the core of the house, and is a sign of the family.
