This house is a well known icon in Montclair, NJ. In a collaborate effort with our clients Lemon Grass developed a concept that reflected its outer elegance on the interior design. Our clients have strong affiliations with China, which influenced the foyer with an Asian-them grass-cloth by Phillip Jeffries. Throughout the house the windows have black painted frames, which allowed us to bring in more contemporary elements in the living- & sunroom. While the ceiling in the LR was spray-painted in a champagne-color, using "Pearlescent" by Benjamin Moore, the jewel color sofa is the star. For the sunroom we created a more laid-back feeling, with a thick soft area rug and a high-back sofa by Restoration Hardware. Overall, the result is a hybrid of the traditional structure of the house and the comfort, our modern times can offer.
