The basement renovation was truly a transformation from its original dark, dreary to inviting, bright and playful for this young family!

The vast space was softened by combining mid-century pieces with traditional accents. The furniture has clean lines and meant to be tailored as well as durable. We used unusual textiles to create an eclectic vibe.
I wanted to breaks away from the traditional white enamel molding instead I incorporated medium hue of gray on all the woodwork against crisp white walls and navy furnishings to showcase eclectic pieces.
Sputnik chandelier, reclaimed wood furniture, eclectic signage, cement surfaces, usher the young families signature style- fresh and fun against the homes traditional architecture.
The inviting mix feels family and guest friendly.

The children's retreats were highly personalized and they were encouraged to express themselves within the design process.
The craft area for their daughter is a multipurpose space; white birch branches on top of chalk paint gives her the freedom to express herself-floating white shelves gives her quick access to materials. White enamel furniture & blue ghost chair on top of soft gray Mongolian sheep rug defines her space for creativity.
