The clients of this 1970’s split level came to board and vellum looking for a modern refresh to the original exterior of their home. With a tight budget, and little room to change the entry sequence and opening locations, we worked closely with them to create a modern look with increased curb appeal. Thoughtful siding changes in select locations paired with an investment in new aluminum garage doors, a poured in place concrete entry guard rail, and new planters at the street edge brought new life to the home.

With some reconfiguring at the main floor deck and a simple material palette, the back yard transformed from an under-used afterthought to a multi-level outdoor living space. The new concrete wall proves to be a perfect spot for summer movie nights, and an integrated hot tub at the deck landing provides privacy while still integrating to the overall design. New railings and hardscape round out the design, creating an efficient, welcoming backdrop for entertaining.
