Montecito Timeless Traditional

This was such a fun project. The client is an extremely talented interior designer so there was lots of collaboration as we designed the gardens. We removed massive overgrowth at the rear of the property which expanded the space and allowed for a complete redesign. The firepit on the gravel courtyard custom made from stainless steel with an electronic fire starter. We created several secret gardens in the back, one where the spa was installed and the other where we transformed a shed into a "playhouse". The color pallet is neutral with a variety of greens with white flowers.

A custom gate opens up to a natural slate front walk that leads to the front door. Plantings of boxwood, pittosporum tobira, pittosporum 'golf ball" and pittosporum 'wheeler's dwarf' flank the front entry. Custom made baskets create height and enhance the beauty of the space.

This gravel path is tucked away at the very back of the property and leads one to the "play house" and to a cosy bench that is hidden away from the rest of the property. This private oasis is planted with Oakleaf hydrangea, loropetalum, pittosporum and a hedge of privet. I call this perfection.
