A cozy cabin nestled between stunning rock outcroppings and native pines set the scene for this landscape renovation. Lifescape designed and constructed a new entry and outdoor living space for this mountain retreat. Stone retaining wall terraces and a winding stone walkway lead you to this charming sanctuary. Carefully selected native perennial and shrub plantings soften the hardness of the stone in these areas. A stroll up the walkway leads past a courtyard on the left, showcasing a large stone fireplace that serves as foreground to the native hillside. The intimate courtyard provides a seating area perfect for relaxing by the fire. A patch of manicured lawn for the homeowners’ dogs was designed into the space as well. Native grasses were re-seeded around the property, with new Aspen and Douglas Firs helping to blend the landscape into its natural surroundings.
