With a goal to move back to the city and create an urban entertainment retreat, the recent empty-nesters opted for a city infill lot adjacent to Bde Maka Ska (former Lake Calhoun). With views of the lake and close proximity to downtown, this homes location is optimal for entertaining. Due to a high water table and challenging soils, a basement gathering space was omitted in favor of skyline and lake views via a roof-level lounge. A bold, black metal staircase connects the main level to a second level game room, up to the rooftop lounge. Utilizing a detached garage behind the home, the front remains open — providing views of the lake and the glow of activity at night. Whether it’s a full-on party or a night in with family, N44° 56' 4" is designed for gathering.
