This longtime Naperville resident recently made the jump from her single-family home of many years to a condominium in the same familiar neighborhood that she loves. In fact, the condominium is located just a few blocks away. The homeowner had considered renovating her home and even had an architectural drawing developed. The homeowner took this opportunity to approach her new kitchen with a fresh current look. The flooring in the kitchen and living room, which was previously a combination of carpet and vinyl, was replaced with bamboo engineered floating hardwood throughout. Semi-custom cabinetry was specifically designed for the space. A travertine stacked stone fireplace in the living room creates a warm environment. A custom-built mantle was created and designed to mirror the new cabinetry. The homeowner’s selection of Hawaii granite countertops fit in perfectly with the travertine subway tile backsplash installed in the kitchen. Under cabinet lighting, installed to brighten the space, provides much needed lighting for cooking and prep.
