New York Kitchen

This Manhattan pied-à-terre classically fits into a pre-war building. Classic lines with state of the art appliances, historical accents, NANZ hardware, and a German silver sink. A walnut wood island top with a marine finish adds warmth. Interior designer Nancy Boszhardt perfected finishing touches, setting a beautiful antique armoire to house linens and china, and a soft, beautiful chandelier above the island, creating more of a dining room feel. Space being a premium in Manhattan, I made sure that every inch that I could dedicate to storage I did. It was common back in the 1920’s to have cutting boards built-in to the millwork. Preparing food is easier with these installed in numerous locations throughout the kitchen thus keeping countertops clear of added clutter. One of my favorite countertops that I installed in this kitchen “Chester Granite” is quarried in Connecticut.
