Northgate master bath
This bath was into a new dormer added to the upstairs of a home in the Northgate area of Seattle. The primary issues were adding a claw foot tub, a steam shower and using an existing buffet to use as the vanity. It was transformed by repainting it with a custom color and adding addition cabinets to the left of it to fill the space. this bath was awarded second place in the 2019 Awards of Excellence, ASID Washington State.
The shower is curbless using HydroBloc for the underlayment and a linear drain at the entry. A quartz bench was used for the steam room and a shelf for the tub user. The floor is a porcelain wood plank that is heated and the tiling is a wainscot made from ceramic subway tile from Ann Sacks tile with a blue accent.
Shower fixtures are a traditional style from Kohler. A separate toilet room was created to allow for privacy. A heated towel bar was added near the tub area.
This project received an Award of Excellence for Bath Over 85 SF, at the 2019 ASID awards in October, 2019.
