Oakland Hills

Approached by a developer for his personal residence for the design of a 3,000 square foot residence on a steep downsloping lot in the Oakland hills. A unique development of modern residences Jewel Court is a brand-new community created on top of a knoll in the hills.

Consisting of four bedrooms including a large rooftop primary suite with decks on both sides, with an entry level great room containing the kitchen, dining and living rooms and a loft-like office with high ceilings and expansive views outward.

The street façade is a composition of gray stucco and red cedar siding and dark bronze Fleetwood windows and doors. Morf | Chang landscape design has drought-resistant grasses flanking a concrete paver step down to the front entry. Upon arrival the great room frames views of the surrounding hillside forest.
