This is a 4 ft square table with hand cast glass in four panels set into a carved wood base. The design challenge was to create a table reflecting the view out of the window just beyond this setting with the San Francisco Bay and the islands, and to include 'trees' and the blue of the water.

Yew Wood veneer and solid wood tables.

This is part of my "Slab Series" using Ash that has been blackened with graphite and layered into slabs reflecting my architectural stylization of the Columbia Gorge columnar basalt geologic formations. The cylinder is veneered Madrone Burl, with graphite detailing on the top.
