My challenge in creating these tables was to design wood furniture that was relatively inexpensive in both materials and process. I resawed the Fir lumber into thin strips and applied in a mock veneer application creating this look, being rough hewn but smooth to the touch.

This is a detail of the steel insert. I work a lot with laser cutting and water jet services to create whatever shapes I need for various projects I do. Through the years I have also developed a unique chemical patina application where I can create beautiful color and shape variations.

These can be used for either a combo coffee/cocktail table together or as a stool as well.
