WINNER OF THE 2016 MASTER BUILDER'S ASSOCIATION OF PIERCE COUNTY REMODELING EXCELLENCE AWARD FOR BEST ADDITION
A unique home, built in 1932 was too small for the family. So, we added a 750 sq ft. 2-story addition. Fun elements are – old salvaged newel posts for the stairs, an antique fireplace mantel surrounds the cooktop, antique fireplace posts support the island countertop. Hand painted tiles, collected over the years, accent the kitchen backsplash. Also included - a larger bath, two large bedrooms and a playroom-perfect for the girls. Plenty of space now! This home will be featured in the 2015 Master Builders Association of Pierce County Tour of Remodeled Homes.

Being a family of 4, the large farmhouse sink is perfect. The dishwasher is hidden behind a lyptus panel. Waste and recycle are to the left of the sink. A bridge faucet completes the look.

The refrigerator is covered with wood panels. A dining area with built-in benches with storage is perfect for dining or doing homework! The shelf above is actually the antique mantel piece that goes with the fireplace surround over the cooktop!

The original exterior wall and tiny kitchen were where the desk area exists now. Quite an improvement!

A separate prep sink with disposal sits on the island. A perfect place for all the "helpers." The posts on either side of the induction cook top pull out to reveal spices and a knife block.

Hand painted tiles were installed throughout the backsplash. These tiles were collected by the homeowner from a local artist.

Frosty White shaker cabinets lighten up the enlarged bathroom. The extra quartz over the toilet extends the countertop space. The heated tile floors keep the room nice & cozy.

A curbless shower with a single pane of glass makes entering the shower easy! A hand held shower, fixed shower head and water tiles in the ceiling give the owners showering options. Tile that resembles Carrera marble, keep the character of the home.
