Re-creating a 1979 Kitchen

This was a very special project for our team. The homeowners had lived in this home for over 20 years and were in desperate need of a makeover to make the house more functional as well as modifying it to their specific taste.

We were challenged with a cramped space that needed to be completely reconfigured to maximize the room. The design team creatively designed each area with value oriented products and finishes as much of our budget went into structure and electrical requirements.

We utilized two different colors of painted cabinets to maximize the special features of the island and the built in hutch. We also added plenty of additional overhead lighting on dimmers.

Pendant lighting really sets off the island. We are also excited about the new FX180 Formica countertops. They look and feel amazing as well as add beautiful design elements for a fraction of the cost of stone tops.

The cooktop was moved from the opposite side of the kitchen so we could move the doorway and gives the client much more usable counter space
