The biggest challenge in this basement remodel was managing the care of load capacity, while keeping sweeping sight lines open. A recessed steel beam was the answer for what turned out to be a family pleasing sports themed basement project.

The "hand scraped wood" throughout the basement is actually ceramic tile which makes for easy clean-up and maintenance. Since this basement is set for
heavy utilization, it was important that the entire home's electrical system was upgraded to provide uninterrupted running of the 6 television sets and many recessed lights.

The wet bar required new plumbing and the granite countertops and tiled back splash enhance the dark cabinets. In the adjoining basement bedroom, ceiling tiles were applied for upgraded character.
