Reclaimed Timber Frame
Designed by timber frame specialists and constructed by ROTHERS Design/Build in 2004, this home outside of Kearney, Missouri is constructed from reclaimed timber from an old railroad trestle bridge. In 2010, ROTHERS Design/Build designed and constructed a walk-out basement for access to a new swimming pool. The exterior construction included new stone columns to support the porch structure above. In addition to the exterior construction, the basement was finished with reclaimed wood floors and timber beams to match the feel of the existing timber framed house. The renovation included a new family room, office area, bar and bathroom. The mahogany clad bar features interlocking concrete counter tops and corrugated aluminum accents.
