House on Rosedale Ave. Designing for this typical narrow Central Austin lot, we landed on a mostly simple extruded gable form to enclose a complex puzzle of spaces, light slots, stairs and parking spaces.

But where it stretches to the street and the backyard, we let the roofs and volumes extend to odd lengths, noting that the form could have continued to stretch in either direction.
