Rustic Charm

San Jose Whole Home Remodel;

After living in their first house for a year, these young expecting homeowners were more than ready to have a modernized and functional home. Having not even the desire to cook in the original outdated kitchen, it was important for them to finally feel at home.
Along with modernizing their home, they wanted to create more useable space, without adding extra square footage two separation walls were removed to allow this great room transformation. A useless entry wall now offers a built-in pantry, an addition of a tray ceiling, smart can light layout and new Velux skylight brings an abundance of natural light to stream in and brighten the new kitchen and great room.

Everything in the San Jose home was original to the house and needed some major updating. White shaker cabinets, compliment the Calacatta marble tile back splash, bringing in the feeling of openness which was missing. Stainless steel appliances and black matte faucet and pulls create a feeling of modernness. While the reclaimed island wood that was hand picked by the client, bring in a rustic focal point.

The luxury dark vinyl flooring creates a depth of warmth in the room and adds a great contrast that radiates throughout the space. While still using the same square footage, a more spacious and functional kitchen and great room have been created. Bringing in the sense of home that our clients were seeking.
