Rustic chic renovation

We opened the kitchen to the family room and upgraded all the finishes throughout the main floor of this home, starting right at the front door. The dining room was given loads of "wow" factor, with a faux-finished coffered ceiling and plush occasional seating. A home office was elevated with bespoke built-ins for two.
Notes of navy and hits of rustic finishes juxtaposed with glam touches knit the various spaces into a comprehensive whole.

The wall between kitchen and family room was removed to create a great room with island dining. The black distressed finish of the island contrasts with the white perimeter cabinets, which stretch to the ceiling with a row of glass fronted uppers. Black accents balance the dark hardwood.
