Rustic Woodland Heights Renovation
A 1930's Houston Woodland Heights bungalow was completely renovated and a second floor added with rustic finishes and modern amenities throughout. Original shiplap was uncovered and left in it's dark natural patina flanking both ends of the Dining room downstairs while the Kitchen backsplash shiplap was painted for ease of cleaning. A new pine wood ceiling in it's raw state covers the large family room upstairs. Exposed glulam beams helped open the first floor and provided support for the new second floor addition. The hardwood floors were stained a dark chocolate to contrast the white walls and marble countertops.
