Ruxton Residence
This rescue and complete renovation (with additions) of a derelict house reorganizes the plan around a new three-story Foyer/Stair Hall that contains a suspended wood staircase. This central space connects all the major rooms and pathways on all levels of the home. The exterior style suggests Tuscany. The interior has been opened to accommodate the casual lifestyle of an active young family but still retains some older details such as the arched openings (formerly two recessed book cases flanking a doorway) that connect the Living Room to the new Foyer.
