It was time to update the heart of this beautiful modern home to today's standards - for the owner's enjoyment and looking ahead to a future sale. The kitchen was visually smaller with a microwave/exhaust hood combo and wall cabinets over the cooktop. Combined with black granite, the cooking area felt dark, cramped and uninspiring. The island seating faced inward, and the scale and detailing of the island needed help. The kitchen and adjacent pantry/bar/desk area was updated with all new cabinets, quartz countertops and splashes, plumbing fixtures, lighting, and appliances bring this modern styled kitchen up to modern expectations! The engineered maple floors were replaced with higher quality nail down 6" white oak, finished naturally with Bona water based satin.
