A 1936 elementary school library summer renovation project for the well deserving staff and students of a great title one school. Added some bold color splashes to the walls, brightened the bookcases by painting them white, added new seating for all, and a much needed circulation desk to enable this space to function like a true library. The children and staff love coming to this space to hang out, attend meetings or functions, or just read their favorite books.
This project was a collective community effort with donations from PPG Paints Carlisle, Budget Blinds Mechanicsburg, Buchanan Painting Shippensburg, Wayfair.com, PTO, Librarian Shari Rafferty & family, Tammi Funk of Green t Designs Carlisle, Rebekah Jenkins Chicago, Tanner Furniture Harrisburg and the teachers and staff.
