The client need to make the existing guard railing brought up to code and keep the original design of the historical building. We used the design from one the original existing box newels to create the new design. The client needed the design pretty much fool proof in keeping customers from knocking items into the stairwell and taking other fellow patrons out by falling beer mugs, bottles and silverware.
