Newly redeveloped properties are often fitted with generic kitchens and this client was looking for a one-of-a-kind statement kitchen. The former tannery had wood beams, skylights, and a mezzanine loft but the finishes were spartan. The beams and cables that support the structure were a hazard to navigation so they were incorporated into a twelve-foot countertop and bar opposite a wall of sliding stone tile panels and a run of grain matched walnut cabinets.
