This archetypal two story workman’s cottage was built in 1890 on a quiet street just off the Guilford Green. It had a large 1970’s rear addition overlooking the yard to which the family gravitated. The scale of the rooms in the original house felt small and disjointed which made them difficult for the family to use. Our clients were interested in considering ways to adapt the existing floor plan through careful renovations and built-ins to suit their needs.
