It is an especially fulfilling Project for an Interior Designer when the outcome exceeds Client expectations, and imagination. This remodeling project required instilling modern sensibilities, openness, styles and textures into a dated house that was past its prime. Strategically, the goal was to tear down where it made sense without doing a complete teardown.

Starting with the soul of the home, the kitchen, we expanded out room by room to create a cohesiveness and flow that invites, supports and provides the warmth and relaxation that only a home can. The flooring was upgraded throughout the house to reflect the contemporary color scheme.

In the Kitchen, fresh white paint and wood flooring instantly brightened this kitchen. A fiery chandelier and perfect bar stools create a streamlined traffic pattern. The backsplash pattern adds visual interest without looking busy. A large island ensured there was plenty of room to prep, cook and for the family to gather around. Modern white cabinets with sleek handles and lighted nooks to display accessories provides plenty of storage. Stainless steel Energy Star appliances complete the functional yet high end look.

First impressions are lasting impressions - we took this to heart when we designed the foyer. The old-fashioned heavy wooden door was replaced with a metal and glass door, the winding staircase received an upgraded look with metal rails and wooden footboards and the flooring went from a dark musty look to a lighter and brighter wood. Plants and accessories rounded out the invitation into the fabulous home.

The formal dining area seamlessly flows from the bright entryway with crisp white walls and light floors accentuated by a large square mirror with a metal grid that complements the front metal door. It also creates a clean backdrop that creates a lovely contrast to the warm wooden table. Neutrals were made glamorous with gold accented chandelier and cabinet.

Thoughtful lighting choices go a long way in creating a living room. A fresh color palette brightens up the space, better furniture placement and a new modern fireplace surrounded by dimly lit display cabinets with curated accessories creates a cozy and comfortable living area that is at once welcoming, vibrant, and super stylish.

With everyone working from home at some time or another post-COVID, it was imperative to spruce up the Study to be a zone of focus and energy. We took a lackluster dated space and converted it into a bright, energizing and creative space with a vibrant artwork to draw you in. A brand new ultra-modern desk with additional lighting and storage space make the Study highly functional and a place where one can spend hours doing their best work.

Last but not the least, the Powder Bath is a stunner! Carefully planned elegant selections took it from its dark, old-fashioned decor to a place of class and luxury. An Egyptian-theme mirror set against a patterned wallpaper with black dual-sconce lighting and a sink that screams style pull together a jaw-dropping ambiance that inspires awe.
