This house located in the Sweetgrass neighborhood in Mt Pleasant, SC just south of the IOP connector had been well lived in and was ready for a refreshing update. The owners chose a cream color for the walls and trim. The cabinets and vanities were refinished with matte paint and new satin nickel hardware. The doors were primed and painted and new interior vintage glass door knobs installed. New flooring and trim was installed in the office and closets along with new closet shelving. Valances and curtains were removed and replaced with 2" faux blinds and linen black out curtains. The kitchen island made by the owner was moved to the large screened in patio to create additional open kitchen space. The kitchen backsplash was cleaned up with new grout and caulking, along with a new dishwasher, hood vent, and new washer and dryer in the laundry room. New mirrors were installed in both bathrooms, and a new Roku TV was installed above the wood burning fireplace. We made the house easily accessible with keyless entry.
At the initial prep of this project we learned that all of the trim had been painted with oil based paint. This created additional prep work cleaning, sanding, and priming the door trim, doors, and baseboards to prep for painting.
The one thing we can't take credit for are the amazing views from the screened in porch of the neighborhood pond that is stocked with fish, and home to turtles, egrets and herons. The finished project is clean, bright, and open, and ready to be moved back into.
