The Cheese

The shape of this addition to an existing weatherboard house is dictated by the drive to optimise solar access to the house as well as minimizing overshadowing to its neighbours in this narrow block. Since we are consummate cheese lovers, thus the name. The internal space is deceptively spacious, very functional and lot of architectural interest.
Clean lines and low maintenance materials keep our vision intact. Vertical timber balastrading sets itself apart from the red and white recycled brick wall, ascending upwards to curved ceiling. The roof form adds joy, snugness and wonder to the living spaces upstairs.
This project is the Winner of numerous awards -

Hope you like this, we love our Cheese!
