The Paddington Basin Project
Our client recently acquired an apartment within the picturesque Paddington Basin complex, offering a scenic view of the canal and waterside scheme. The apartment, although charming, required rejuvenation and a touch of luxury according to our client's brief. Additionally, they sought a layout alteration involving the removal of specific walls.
Given the structural changes involved, securing a License to Alter ('LTA') was imperative from both the freeholder and management company. This necessitated the inclusion of a structural engineer's report in our submission package.
Our team crafted a design brief aligned with the client's vision, followed by the creation of detailed drawings, 3D renders, and a comprehensive work schedule. Upon obtaining LTA consent, we commenced the project, completing it over an eight-week period.
The majority of our efforts were focused on bespoke wooden paneling, intricate ceiling work, and precise joinery. Our in-house design and construction team collaborated seamlessly throughout the process, providing regular updates to the client on a weekly basis.
Upon receiving building control sign-off, we facilitated the update of the new layout changes with the Land Registry. This ensures a smooth process should our client choose to sell their apartment in the future
