Tiny cottage - The task that was presented was to convert this mother-in-law apartment into a short-term rental on a tight budget and an even tighter schedule. The items had to be budget-friendly, fit into the overall aesthetic of the design, and had to be deliverable within 3 weeks or less because a TV crew was coming to film in the house.

With a mere 440 square feet to house a fully functioning kitchen, full bathroom, living room with woodstove, and a sleeping loft with a sitting perch, most of the pieces also needed to be multi-functional as well as the right scale to feel correctly proportionate in the space. The project came together on time meeting all of the homeowners’ specifications and is now available as a short-term rental in the bustling Hawthorne neighborhood and will soon be featured on HGTV.
