Traditional Bathroom Remodel

The bathroom in this 1930s house in Charlotte's Eastover neighborhood had never been remodeled and, since we were gutting the kitchen below, it was the perfect time to give this space an overhaul. We removed the cast iron tub and converted it into a shower with a frameless glass surround which opens up this small space. The original bathroom had tile wainscoting and the client wanted to keep that element so we installed a classic subway tile with a chair rail cap. The client fell in love with a unique piece of granite at our granite supplier's yard and the soothing paint and tile colors were chosen to compliment the stone. Classic gray 2X2 tile on the floor is clean and simple - allowing the granite to take center stage.
