The master bathroom in this 1960s home was chopped up with a separate dressing area and vanity outside the main bathroom area. The shower / tub combo was tucked into an alcove with a dropped ceiling which made for a claustrophobic bathing experience. The homeowners are two busy professionals who disliked the bathroom so much, they were using a bathroom upstairs! They wanted the master bathroom to be modernized and more functional. Having a huge shower for two was on the top of their priority list. Budget was a concern since they wanted to remodel their kitchen at the same time as the master bathroom in order to get all the construction done at once. We designed a new master bathroom that combined the main bathroom and dressing area to create one large space. The toilet was relocated and the sinks were combined on a double vanity. We took over a closet in the hallway and relocated the main water shut off for the entire house to make room for the extra-large shower.
