Upper East Side Staging
Corcoran’s Gavrilov-Grosso team was moving their loyal client into her second home. They called on me for the staging. I used as much of the client’s existing furniture as I could. We had to store and discard/donate quite a few things. I called on Stashable Storage (formerly Box Butler), Office Furniture Heaven, and 1-800-GOT-JUNK? Manhattan for storage, office disassembly, and hauling. When I finished sprucing, Gavrilov-Grosso called in Al Siedman for photos. What a great team. When I stage an apartment for sale, I don’t rent furniture. I purchase inexpensive attractive furniture. There are a few reasons I do it this way. I do the math before every staging and so far, it has made more sense from a visual and economic standpoint. If the client likes the items, they have the option to keep them and if they don’t, they get a tax benefit for donating (I help with this process). It makes it easier to incorporate pre-existing furniture & it doesn’t look staged.
