Here are several different fireplaces we have designed from the most simple to the most elaborate. The very traditional dark wood fireplace is in a very traditional home with a lot of wood finishes for a cozy family room. The white fireplace is in a more transitional home, the tone fireplace originally had only the bottom portion which is in actual stone. The top section was built with wood and Cathy Cox of Brushstrokes in Virginia Beach faux painted that section to perfectly match the stone below. The next fireplace has bright red mosaic tiles that were a favorite of my client. The hearth is travertine and the wood surround is wood, again painted by Cathy Cox of Brushstrokes in Virginia Beach to perfectly match the travertine. The other fireplaces have wood or stone surrounds.
